So - who's running this outfit then?

Du is a big little company.

We like to stand on the shoulders of giants and always seek to learn from our clients as much as we try and help.

When creating our Design Teams, we look for 4 things:

  • lived experience;

  • complementary expertise;

  • understanding of Service Design;

  • commitment to the Du ethos of Excellence in Pursuit of Improvement.

Come and Join Us

"Cameron and Steve impressed me with their radical design for integrated transport and their proactive approach to a very difficult project. Despite a temporary setback in Durham, there is still a strong desire at corporate level and amongst Durham MPs to make Du-IT happen.”

Chris Tunstall
former Director of Environment and Deputy Chief Executive, Durham C.C.

Directors

Steve Day Steve Day
Director of Chaos

Steve loves play - not that you can tell from the picture!

Having tried education, revolutionary trade unionism and community action, Steve is now bringing together his lived and learnt experience into a social enterprise, service design approach to making the world a better place.

"Du is where I am now"

Cameron Gordon

Cameron Gordon
Director of Progress

Cameron is busy renovating his house, so apologises in advance for dirty fingernails.

Having lived in Germany, New Zealand, the USA and London for 20 years, he finally returned to his native North East in 2000 to marry the pretty girl from his class at school.

"Du is more than what I do - it's who I am"

Sara and Stella Sara Gill
Director of Order

Sara runs Du from our Darlington office when not caring for the most beautiful little girl in the world.

Ever looking for adventure, Sara served in Bosnia with the Army, and in Coundon for the Community Partnership.

"Du is my biggest challenge to date"

Julie Eze Julie Eze
Business Support Manager

Until 2009 Julie was General Manager of the Call Centre Division with Hays Travel - the UK's largest travel agency.

We are not exactly sure what that has in common with Social Enterprise or  Service Design - but it seems to be working.

"I can pick my tiny-winks up from school"
